Laugo Arms Alien: A Revolutionary Leap in Semi-Automatic Pistol Design

Now available on the market, this semi-automatic pistol rocks the entire firearm community with its revolutionary design and unmatched performance features. This Czech-engineered wonder in the United States is a product of cooperation between Laugo Arms Czechoslovakia and Lancer Systems.

What makes the Alien Pistol really stand out, however, are its technical solutions, breaking convention in locking systems and trigger design. This is innovation that places competitors at the very top in their shooting sport. Several elements of the Alien place it well ahead of conventional pistols, including:

  1. The world’s lowest bore axis significantly reduces muzzle flip and produces an incredibly flat recoil impulse.
  2. Fixed Barrel: The barrel is fixed to the frame and inherently has less movement during the firing cycle, increasing accuracy.
  3. Gas Piston Delayed Blowback System: This new system allows for faster target reacquisition, as it reduces the recoil during firing.
  4. Non-Reciprocating Top Rail: The top rail does not reciprocate, giving an uninterrupted sight picture of the target and the option to mount a wide range of sights.
  5. Interchangeable Slide Rails and Magazine Wells: These go a long way in mission-specific adaptability, making the Alien so versatile.

The U.S. offering of the Laugo Arms Alien Performance model arrives in a kit form, which features the Alien pistol, two 17-round magazines, a standard top rail with adjustable, competition fiber optic sights, tools, and even a snap-cap for dry fire exercises. This particular custom hard case was cut to allow use of an optional red dot sight top rail and accessory magwell.

The design of the Alien is not just for performance but also aesthetics and user experience. Heavy steel is mixed with light metal alloy in the frame, making it well-balanced with a weight of about 1200 grams. The sights sit on a fixed top rail that doesn’t reciprocate, useful when mounting red dot sights as it puts less stress on them to improve lifespan.

Critics and gun enthusiasts alike seem to give this Alien model kudos for its high accuracy, ultra-low bore height, and trigger feel that can’t be rivaled. That said, it wasn’t all plain sailing; there were a couple of drawbacks: trigger weight and double stack frame width raise some flags when firing single-handed. However, this innovation of the Alien in both design and performance has attracted much attention and interest.

The newest to the lineup is the Laugo Arms Alien Creator edition, hosting a spate of upgrades that put it much closer to being a “production-ready” gun. Those upgrades include a more natural 1911 grip angle, interchangeable back straps, front straps, and grip inserts. It also rocks new cocking serrations and a pretty wild color scheme, making for a very eye-catching and exceptionally useful firearm.

In summary, the Laugo Arms Alien is the breakthrough in semi-automatic pistol design. It provides exciting and highly effective technical solutions for great performance and cosmetics. A more appropriate expression of this reality was captured succinctly by one of the enthusiasts: “The Alien is not just a pistol; it’s a work of art.” With all that has been said about this pistol, definitely, it has very distinctive features and competitive advantages that set an immortal milestone in the history of firearms.
